Emergency Medicine Doctors - Cocoa, FL

"Been going to Dr. Yates since March and have no had a good experience. First of all, good luck trying to reach anyone at this office bc the phones will send you straight to voicemail and you will not get a call back. I called over 30 times and left multiple voicemails and was never returned not even 1 phone call while I was having severe chest pains for weeks!! ER did nothing for me and so I had to leave work to go to the office numerous times to get ahold of anyone ...& the two clueless and snobby ladies, the one at the front desk and the nurse, were not helpful AT ALL. & say it's been 2 1/2 years since our phones have been like this. What kind of a doctors office doesn't fix issues like that? Doctor gives no confirmation about anything, I basically talk and tell her what's wrong with me and she will just prescribe you whatever without knowing even what the issue is or what's the cause of your issue. Will send things to the pharmacy I don't even know what they are and I refuse. I was getting bloodwork done for the 4 months and labs were consistently getting worse with everything I was being told to do by her. Take iron blood builder pills and eat clean which I have been. She knew the entire duration that I've been taking multivitamins everyday with a calcium chew and including a tumeric cap everyday for the last 3 months, but had failed to notice/mention that high doses of tumeric can cause iron deficiency anemia!!!! I had to find this out through another doctor who caught it right away!!! I have had chest pains, heart palpitations, hair thinning, and severe dizziness for a month now and she couldn't tell me anything I didn't already know other then "Aww honey" Now I need iron transfusions because this doctor did not catch on and realize that it was making me anemic and causing my heart and lungs to strain! I've never been so upset and in constant pain, this is the worst my body has ever been in my life amd I've always been healthy. My quality of life has diminished since going to this office. She's building a hospital in Africa and won't even be in the area for much longer (even though this country is full of sick people and need help) and has basically checked out anyways so do yourself a favor and go to Orlando for a primary doctor and don't bother and waste your time here!!!! Get real help!! Steward medical is TRASH."
