As a result of my seeing Dr. Vijay Maggio in my search for epilepsy treatment, she offered the suggestion of surgery for the type I had.  That was in 1999.  We went through the testing in Houston, TX in 2000 and December 4, 2001 I had the surgery and have been seizure free since.  I was 46 and had epilepsy since birth.  She and my surgeon are one of my many blessings in life.  Joy
