Roda was my midwife through two successful pregnancies and deliveries. She has always been kind, courteous, honest, caring, and easy to talk to. She even came in on her day off to help support me during the birth of my first baby! And what a support she was – she brought essential oils, worked alongside my doula and husband to make me feel as comfortable throughout my unmedicated labor. She has never rushed me out of her office, forced me into doing anything I wasn’t comfortable with, talked through each and every one of my concerns, and at times I felt like I was her only patient from how much attention she gives for each appointment. I highly recommend Roda to any woman looking for a midwife or women's health needs.
Roda Scego, CNM, ARNP, DNP, is a certified nurse midwife who cares for women from adolescence to menopause, as well as infants up to one month of age. She has more than 15 years of labor and delivery experience. Roda works in partnership with her patients to ensure their health and safety while providing culturally competent care. She finds it personally gratifying to support women during pregnancy. Her goal is to empower women to trust their own natural abilities and to harness their inner strength when giving birth. Roda is a member of the Somali Health Board Perinatal Committee and the first Somali-speaking women's health provider in Seattle.
