Went to Cravens to see if I had sleep apnea because I was always exhausted. Was probably just depressed and in denial or I was self conscious and wanted an excuse to get a nose job, or maybe both idk. But anyway, he recommended that I do a functional rhinoplasty. I told him I wanted to do a sleep study first but he responded "let's do the nose first then the sleep study if things don't improve." I was young and I agreed to proceed with the surgery. During my consultations he laughed at me while taking preop photos and insulted my intelligence by hitting me on the head with his pen while saying "not much going on up there huh?" Well i guess I proved his point because i let him schedule me for surgery. On the day of the surgery I had second thoughts and was debating whether to call it off and he again pushed for me to get it done. He put his hand on my shoulder and said "don't worry we're gonna make things better." My nose is now bulbous on one side and collapsed/narrow on the other side. Maybe make a definitive diagnosis before deciding someone should undergo surgery?? Maybe be more considerate and caring during consultations instead of insulting your patients. Go to a doctor who actually makes a diagnosis before cutting you and save yourself a lot of anguish. Worst decision of my life.

I recently had Dr. Cravens perform a Partial Thyroidectomy to remove a nodule that was getting larger. I couldn't be happier with the quality of care I received from Dr. Cravens from the initial consultation up to the surgery itself. He took his time with me, listened and replied to my concerns, and I left feeling totally confident about choosing him to do the procedure. The day of the surgery I received the same quality of care from all staff at the Carondelet Foothills Surgery Center. I highly recommend Dr. Cravens and his staff.

I have seen Dr. Cravens in the past but I recently started seeing him again for another medical issue.  I love him, but please know his office policies and procedures have a lot of be desired.  I have had appointments cancelled and told it was my fault when I had not contacted them at all, I have not heard results from tests and had to call weeks later to find out what the results were and what I was supposed to do next, and I have to call and then wait for them to call me back to do anything from making an appointment to getting information.  I call because I have time right then to give to the issue.  When they finally get around to calling me 24-48 hours later, I am usually at work and don't have the time to deal with it right then.  There must be a reason people continue to go to him, but I can tell you it's not because of the way the office is run.  It's very frustrating.
