Dr. Michael Turner is a pediatrician with Prisma Health Pediatrics in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, he earned his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg. He then completed his residency training in pediatrics at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Turner provides comprehensive pediatric care for patients from birth through young adulthood, up to approximately age 21. His clinical practice includes preventive care, growth and developmental monitoring, acute illness management, and ongoing support through adolescence as patients transition toward adulthood. He is dedicated to longitudinal care, emphasizing continuity and long-term relationships with patients and their families. He is passionate about pediatrics because of the opportunity to follow children over time and support their growth, development, and overall well-being throughout each stage of life. Outside of work, Dr. Turner enjoys spending time with his five children, especially outdoors in the mountains hiking, camping, and backpacking. He also enjoys woodworking and building guitars.
