After multiple MRI's, the bad news was in.  My spinal cord was impacted in three places needing THREE surgeries.  The first one behind me, I have to say...I was scared to death of all the things that can go wrong.  I have R.A. and worried about healing.  Dr. Madera showed me the MRI images, told me what was happening, why surgery was needed,  what the process was, the healing process, all the risks, and she didn't leave me wondering one bit whether it was  truly needed.  She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and very caring.  Three weeks after surgery, I broke down and cried in her office because what she did for me allowed me to walk again without my legs and feet going numb!  She gave me back my life.  I feel that the initial appointment was hard to achieve, but thereafter, everything fell into place.  She is top notch.
