My appointment was at two. Finally at 1:20 I went to the desk they took someone before me that had a 215 appointment. Finally get into the office told me that I have cancer on my nose and that the doctor Wharton could take could do the surgery and she would be in to talk to me Well she proceeded not to come in and had to leave to pick up her children. How rude is that that she tells me I have cancer and then cannot see me to tell me in the next steps. I do not recommend this doctor. She is horrible. Very very bad bedside manner .

Several months ago, I went there for a rash but also asked for exam/check of some moles.   The Dr. was very rushed and said he'd do the check the next visit.   Went back for 2nd visit - brought it up again - he said "next time".   



                    Fast forward to several months later when I developed a different rash  & sores.   I made an appointment, but specified I wanted a different Dr.    That appointment went well and she was professional and seemed knowledgeable and did do the mole check (and removed a couple).   She prescribed an antibiotic for the rash.   Two weeks later I got a phone call saying that the lab had come back and they needed to change the antibiotic.  I thought that was odd since the Dr had told me they did most of their labs in house.  After a week or so on that 2nd antibiotic, it was time for my follow up visit.  The rash had gotten worse, not better.   The Dr. said I needed to be on the antibiotic longer.   When I went to refill that prescription, the antibiotic had changed (same class, but different nonetheless).   After another couple weeks, I called the office and reported that the rash was not even a little bit better.  I was told that I needed to give the antibiotic time to work.   Well, at this point, I'd been on antibiotics for almost two months - as well as being on different ones.   With no improvement at all, and still no diagnosis of what was causing it.                            Wasted a lot of time and money.

Topic: Complaint against Dr Warthan's billing office when receiving a
refund in a timely manner, and how they originally messed up
when they actually filed the claim.

My wife had an appt with Dr Warthan on Jan 18th of this year. The doctors office had us pay the full bill up front as we had not met our deductible. This was required even though the doctor is in our network. This is actually another issue I have in that in network providers should be willing to file with insurance first and then bill later once the exact amount owed is known.

Anyway, I talked to Dr Warthan's billing office the day after my wife's
appointment to make sure that when they filed with my insurance, that they filed such that any refund would get paid to me directly from our insurance company in case we had paid too much. They agreed to do that !!

I kept looking for the doctors claim to reach my insurance and be processed. As it turned out, by the time the claim reached my insurance company and was processed we had met our deductible. Thus we actually only owed the co-insurance of approximately $35. So now, we were owed approximately $380 !! Not a small amount of money.

The claim was received by insurance on 2/3/17. So after a couple weeks, I called my insurance company on 2/21 and that is when I found out that the doctors office had sent the refund to the doctors office. Thus revealing that Dr Warthan's office had filed with insurance INCORRECTLY !!! I contacted Dr Warthan billing office the same day and found out that they had received the payment on 2/16 and that it would take a FEW WEEKS to get the refund to me. I told them that that was NOT acceptable (and I admit I lost my temper). I was told that was the process. Some process, they expect payment immediately, yet pay back after a few weeks. I called and complained to my insurance company and they conferenced in the billing office. They told the insurance rep the same thing, except they said that I not given them the chance to say they could expedite it and it would take 1-2 weeks to get a refund. That is correct (as I had lost my temper originally), and I still told them that was not acceptable at all. As it turns out, I did not receive my refund until 4/3. I had actually called the billing office on 3/28 and was told then that it was still getting processed !!
So it took them from 2/16 when they received payment until 3/30 before my refund was processed. THAT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
I have told my wife not to go to this doctors office anymore.
