I called for a diagnostic appointment after a car accident. As soon as I said "back pain", the office staffer snapped rudely back "we don't prescribe narcotics" which had already been mentioned on the office voice mail. I wasn't looking for drugs. I was looking for a diagnosis. Maybe a MRI if needed. I can't take narcotics due to side effects but the staffer made me feel like a drug-seeking junkie. Thanks! I found another doctor. She prescribed Aleve and I was more than ok with it. It is never a good sign when the staff treats patients badly before the patient even makes it to the office.
