Kaylene King Frenette, AuD is a cochlear implant audiologist at MUSC. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut and graduated with her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her clinical externship at the Children's Cochlear Implant Center at UNC. Dr. King has completed specialized training in working with children from infants to teenagers who use a cochlear implant. She has also completed clinical research with pediatric and adult cochlear implant patients. She often worked with children who listen with a cochlear implant in one ear and a hearing aid in the other, children who have single-sided deafness, and infants with profound hearing loss. She has worked with many children who require unique programming and testing techniques and is passionate about helping patients and their families reach their goals.
