I have been seeing Dr. Macias for over 5 years now.  He is extremely knowledgeable - he definitely knows his stuff.  He explains things in a way you can understand and is patient, answering all questions without seeming to be bothered.  He spends as much time as you need with him.  He is very seldom ever behind with office visits.  Kim, his audiologist, is also wonderful and a pleasure to work with.  She has been with Dr. Macias for years and they work well together as a team.   When I had my ear surgeries (I had a complicated condition), Dr. Macias always followed up with me himself.  He has a good sense of humor.  His office staff is not very friendly, even after they have seen/talked to you for years.  But they provide adequate service and the office staff isn't treating me, so I have overlooked their uncongenial demeanors, and I keep on trying to make them smile.
