Although I recently went for my annual about 2 months ago, I first started going to Dr. Jensen and NP Karen in may late 30s. Even after initially reading the reviews years ago, I still went.I am currently 43 and have come to a point where I don't want to go elsewhere.

After my first visit years ago I understood what some people were complaining about. Ok so is everyone on the team grinning from ear to ear when you show up for an appointment? No. Does NP Karen or Dr. Jensen share every concern ever-so-gently while holding your hand? Not usually. But they are careful, skillful and as gentle as possible when performing procedures. They KNOW what they are talking about when they see a medical concern and their goal is to make sure every patient knows the concern as well and they get the problem taken care of. And THAT should be a patient's top concern - their health. Yes it may be nice to always be greeted with smiles and warmth and laughter with each visit AND have an amazingly skilled team of practitioners, but that may be unrealistic. Medical staff are human too (from Dr. Jensen, all the way down to the receptionist/administrative assistant). At the end of the day they are ALL still respectful and THOROUGH which should be at the top of the priority list if your HEALTH is what matters to you most. And that was approach I took after my first encounter. Funny part is, after I started coming regularly, the staff got to know me and I got to know them and the warmth followed.

Facts: The office staff are excellent about calling with appointment reminders ahead of time, sending notices via text and email and even staying on op of some insurance items. NP Karen and Dr. Jensen are excellent about addressing a wide variety of gynecological and general health issues during the visit, calling for follow-ups with concerns and red flags and even spending extra time answering questions during or after an appointment.

I think it just takes a few visits to understand their approach and even their personalities, but in time you realize the great level of care NP Karen and Dr. Jensen provide. They may not be perfect, but who is? They have DECADES of experience in practice and it shows. Their knowledge and expertise weigh in more heavily than any other "personality" or "character" concern one might have and its worth utilizing that for YOUR optimal health. I think sometimes as patients we are afraid to ask questions, or even make comments about the care we receive. But I honestly think that if you shared your concerns about professionalism (or whatever) directly with them, they would be willing to meet you where your concerns are.
