Actually spent more time with me than expected, seemed to really want to review my health history, actually listened to me and was personable to talk with, not condescending, not disinterested. The medical assistant was VERY efficient, pleasant, and gave an excellent talk-up about the provider before I met with the provider & I could tell the medical assistant meant it so that was reassuring. I was also reassured that I'm being taken care of because my BP was slightly high, was rechecked by after I saw provider and now there's a two week follow up to recheck it. I kind of dismissed it with "Oh, its not usually high", which is when that very pleasant medical assistant matter-of-factly said something like "Well all the more reason to check again", which is of course accurate.I saw them three days ago and it made me feel hopeful that I can fix something, I've already been on two walks and restarted a medicine...all recommended by the provider.

I really like the doctors at this office! Overall, they really try to provide the best care they can. Its got to be difficult for them to navigate all the complexity of understanding the human body, yet unbunk the vast variety of misinformation available on the internet, and do this in such a way as to explain things to their patients without alienating them, yet do that at a level that their patients can understand, yet with a vast variety of cognitive abilities on the part of the the patient. Yet, the doctors here seem to do this quite well, and under time pressure. Its rather amazing.

Because I have had cancer for the last 19 years, I have had contact with quite a few Dr.'s.Dr Kjos is like family to me. I respect her knowledge and skills. She is always patient and compassionate during my visits. Unlike some of the specialists that I see, she looks at all of my health issues when prescribing medications and/or treatments. My wife and I are both happy to have Heidi as our primary care physician.
