Dr. Hofer attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. His training includes a residency program at a hospital affiliated with the University of California, Irvine. He has indicated that his clinical interests include MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), vascular imaging, and abdominal imaging. He usually is in-network for Magellan Health Services, Anthem, and Blue California, as well as other insurance carriers. Dr. Hofer is affiliated with Sutter Health.
