Dr. Fredric Haberman, MD, DO, DO FAAD

Dr. Haberman is very knowledgeable about skin conditions and takes the time to understand how your skin conditions affect you, both physically and emotionally. Thank you Doc 

During a consultation remained friendly but made several racial slurs, intended to disrespect my skin color and generalized me as another one of "those people" of that race who gets acne in this way or it shows on my skin a certain way. Asked my girlfriend if she is that dark under all that "makeup"-- did not care for my condition, and again did not explain what was going on with me but began to put shots into my body without any prior permission and bragged about his appearance on talk shows. Every question I asked, he replied with "read the article that I did when I had an interview for your question"- did not speak to me about my condition, entirely bragged and had 2 of his staff inside during my consultation without any regard to privacy.

 

I have been a patient Dr Fredric Haberman since 2001.
I'm very pleased with the total experience both medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology that I've had with his office and Dr. Haberman in particular that I wanted to share what I know.
Right from my first appointment with Dr Haberman I found him familiar with my case history, which tells me that he must be reading the files for the day before beginning to see patients. In other words, he isn't reading my patient file when he walks in the door or when he is seeing me like so many other doctors.  
He always greets me, says hello, and shakes hands.   
Before doing any examinations he washes his hands.
He really listens to you.
His examinations are very complete and he uses a dermascope with magnification and polarized light when he checks your skin for skin cancer.  I trust his judgment about whether something needs further work, like a biopsy, etc.   So far his diagnostic opinions have been 100% accurate, which I can't say for other dermatologists I've seen.   Of course, I know it's not possible to always be perfect on this because for some situations it's impossible to know with total certainty by just looking (i.e. - w/o a biopsy), but I've come to believe he is an exceptionally skilled diagnostician and aesthetic dermatological surgeon.
He is open to differences of opinion and listens to new information.
He considers what the patient wants and has been sensitive to my occasional anxiety and he is very calming and makes me feel very comfortable quickly.
His surgical process is very efficient.  If some small problem is found, I've had him immediately offer to treat it surgically (freeze or excise) rather than require a new appointment.  Then he is very quick to complete the procedure.
His skill as a surgeon is extremely high.  He has removed several small places from my face without leaving any scars.
He is open and personable.  I don't expect this from a physician, but it's a nice bonus.
I consider him to be the best physician, of any that I have very been in contact with.
I recommend him 100% and give him five stars.

I have been treated for acne since I was 15 years old. since I started the treatment  with Dr Haberman my skin condition has cleared. there are many treatments  for acne, however Dr Haberman knew exactly what treatment I needed. I had Chemical Peels done for any discoloration, caused by acne. I also had Hydrafacias at his office, which I really loved. Now I'm acne free. the best feeling in the world. 
He is very understanding, kind and knowledgeable.

Dr Haberman and his very good staff are decent people and very genuine and down to earth. They all get along so well and the patients feel so comfortable being there and seeing Dr Haberman and his staff. I have had many problems and procedures over a course of 25 years which Dr Haberman did with outstanding results. I have sent my co-workers, friends and relatives to Dr Haberman and they all brag about him. He is so nice and down to earth. The office run very smoothly and waiting time is minimal. He gives great post-operative care and call you at home to see how you are doing. He is a very caring person. His staff has worked for him for many years. His office manage has been there for over 23 plus years. The office is like family.

Dr Haberman has been my dermatilogist for over 15 years. He is very experienced  and brilliant. He has performed many procedures on me over the years which have included extensive chemical peels called medium peels
with excellent results. This has improved my acne scars and wrinkles and brown spots. He has also performed subscision and punch grafts including microneedling for acne scars and wrinkes.  He did Fraxel laser surgery with great results 
I would give him ten stars if allowed.

Haberman is the worst doctor I have ever seen. He does NOT know what he is doing. The only thing that he cares about is money. He will schedule a ton of appointments and try to get you out as quickly as possible, so that he has a high turn over rate. He has a condescending attitude. He thinks he is better than everyone else and will treat you like an idiot. He will yell at you and flat out refuse to answer your questions. When you question what he says he will continue to yell at you and dismiss what you say. I came in for answers and he refused to answer what I had questions on and said that I needed to make additional appointments. He just wants you to come in many times, so that he can make more money. He also lied to me, he insisted on taking a biopsy in two locations that I didn't want and said that he would only take a few cells but instead he made two huge wounds in my face and back, which left very noticeable scars. Then his office refused to give me the results of the biopsy when I called back. In addition to this, he kept me waiting for an hour past my appointment to see me. I do not know who is in charge of making sure that doctors have the best interest of patients in mind but this man clearly does not care at all about his patients and it is disgusting that he is allowed to have a practice in this country.
