I have been a patient of Dr. Smith's since he joined the team at Neurology Associates in 2006.   Transitioning to his care did not happen immediately . Nor did I expect it to.  Every patient with MS is "different".  The first few office visits were similar with some of the same questions asked, although on file.  He has a significant amount of information to digest in order to assign an appropriate treatment path.  

As time  progressed I was completely comfortable under Dr. Smith's care.  The visits became more personal and comfortable.  He got to meet my family, and learn about my profession, hobbies, stresses, etc...

Additionally, he is a guest/expert speaker at lunches and dinners for MS Patients.  He also travels abroad in the US and globally in efforts to promote MS research within this field inclusive of drug companies (Biogen, Gentech, Roche, etc...)

I am able to compose and submit my review today because of Dr. Derek Smith.  He and his team keep me seeing straight, with minimal migraines and disease related exacerbations.  When I need them they are there for me.

I respectively ask others to reconsider their comments and overall review.   This is a busy office.  Some appointments take time, especially if it is a first visit.  Putting yourself in their shoes and politely explaining your urgency can work wonders.  Always remember to be your own patient advocate.
