Dr. Dennis Jacqueline Spencer, MD, PhD

Dr Dennis Spencer, MD, PhD, is a gastroenterologist in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he also serves as Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for the division and Associate Program Director for the Boston Combined Residency Program. He is an instructor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and specializes in pediatric gastroenterology, nutrition, growth disorders, and the role of the gut microbiome in child health and disease. Dr Spencer earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and his PhD in microbial pathogenesis and immunology from The Rockefeller University as part of the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program.
