Robotic Surgery

Robotic surgery is a type of minimally invasive surgery, using a tiny opening to get inside the body instead of making a large cut. It uses small tools attached to a thin robotic arm, which is controlled by the surgeon. Robotic surgery may be referred to by the specific kind of robot that is used. The most advanced robot currently in use is called the da Vinci, and surgery using it is sometimes called da Vinci surgery.

There are many benefits to robotic surgery, both for the patient and the surgeon. Robotic surgery allows for more precise movements and increased control during very delicate surgical procedures. This makes performing surgery accurately much easier for surgeons and reduces fatigue. The smaller 'hand' of the robot can enter the body via a much smaller opening, which reduces the risk of infection and scarring and leads to a faster recovery. The robotic hands also contain tiny moveable cameras among their tools, giving surgeons a much closer view of the procedure than would be possible with traditional surgery.

Everyone has been awesome especially Dr. Chaikin. He never rushed me and answered all my questions. He took time to explain everything to both me and my husband. I highly recommend this doctor!

I am sorry I had to give the facility and Dr even 1 star.
My mom has MS and needs to be transported by an ambulance which I have to pay for.  They We waited for over 25 minutes for our appointment, my mom, her nurse and the ambulance staff.  Dr. Chaikin who we have never meet before greeted us by saying I do not know why you "shlepped her all the way here".  No introduction, No so how can I help you nothing?  He did not even look at mom or speak to my mom until he left the room. 
After that we were directed out a different hallway then the one we came in which was not made for a stretcher only because one of the nurses did NOT want to move some empty boxes in the hallway. the whole experience was horrifying.  How a doctors office can treat a patient (especially a 75 year old women with MS- that is so debilitating that she can not move) this way was horrible.  The only reason we have not gone somewhere else is because they are the on-call urologist at Morristown and my mom is frequently admitted there.
