This was my second lumbar epidural injection and as of today 11/13/2019 I am without pain. The second procedure was painful because I was in extreme pain at the time. I am pleased that I have never be prescribed opioids for the pain. The injection is a much better option. Short term injection pain for long term gain with no opiods has worked for me. I was questioned extensively about my pain. Xrays were reviewed and MRI ordered. It did take some time for a new patient appointment. That seems to be the case for many doctor specialists these days.
