Biography

Dr Adil Daud, an oncologist, specializes in melanoma and other skin cancers. He is co-director of the Melanoma Center. In addition to caring for patients, he directs research to better understand the biology of melanoma and to develop new treatments. He has developed and led many clinical trials that have expanded the use of gene therapy for melanoma. Daud earned a medical degree at the Government Medical College, Nagpur. He completed both an internship and a residency in internal medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Prior to joining UCSF Medical Center, he was a researcher at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, for seven years.
