I was misdiagnosed which led to serious health issues, hospitalizations, surgeries, suffering and irreversible damage. He does not appear to have any understanding (or care/interest) in pancreatic issues. My intense pain was not addressed and I was left to suffer."

"I went to see Steven to address a number of symptoms and concerning issues I was having. He didn't have much to say about most of my issues, and just wanted to start with a colonoscopy, and said I could also do endoscopy based on my history of low iron (after mentioning that believe I have celiac disease). So sure, we can start there. He said that it was basically impossible for the endoscopy to show damage after being gluten free for 4 months, but 2 years later I'm still getting the symptoms and test results to prove that I'm still not absorbing nutrients like I should. What really upsets me is that after our appointment I had several weeks to prepare for these procedures, but I wasn't able to because he wouldn't read or respond to a single message I sent. I had lots of questions and concerns that went unanswered. He has some assistant do that. And that guy doesn't have any answers, hardly made sense half the time, and ordered the wrong expensive medication from what I requested (in writing) to a compounding pharmacy, and I ended up having to pay for it over the phone and I didn't think to verify because I know what was ordered, I specifically requested it myself (something I'd used before) really not impressed with him or the Dr at this point. So the big day arrives and I have no idea what to expect, the Dr rushes in blows through whatever he was required to say, mentions that he just checked my chart and because I was above the flag line (which is FAR TOO LOW) for ferritin on my last test, insurance wouldn't cover the endoscopy. Well, if he'd VERIFIED that and told me before, during our visit, or at ANY point before the procedure, while I was desperately trying to reach him, then I could have explained that I was only able to get it up that high with a ridiculous amount of supplementing that would have 100% caused iron overload in a healthy person, but wasn't even keeping me functional. So yeah I'm pretty sure he could have explained to the insurance that my iron was NOT normal and there's definitely reason for concern, and they would have done a prior authorization for it. At the time I'd met my deductible so it would have been covered 100%. Now I need to find a provider that actually cares and pay for the endoscopy that is still very much needed. Bsed on my latest labs I've had a sharp turn in my liver function, blood issues, in addition to the high cholesterol, low ALP and whatever else, so whatever is going on has gotten much worse now, despite me doing everything right for my health that I possibly can. And it SHOULD HAVE BEEN FOUND EARLIER. My husband by chance also got assigned Steven for his colonoscopy and he was also highly unimpressed. If you actually have something wrong with you, I recommend you find someone else."
