General Dentists - Frankfort, IL

"Went to see Dr. Whittingham for a filling that came out while eating and was causing pain. His office got me in right away, but I was treated very rudely by his staff. Due to Covid I had to call the front desk to get let in the building. After calling I was left waiting in the sun on a 95+ degree day for well over 5 minutes. This only matters because when I was brought in they did a forehead temperature check and claimed I was slightly over the limit. One person checked in Farenheit, another person checked in Celsius. The Celsius checker said I was fine. The person who used F to check me started saying you have to add an additional degree when checking by forehead, and did the same for both F and C readings. F and C are not the same scale and adding a degree to each is adding different values, this is basic science. I explained they left me waiting in the sun, could I at least wait the amount of time they left me waiting to see if my temp went down, sure enough it did. Whittingham put back on my filling and said I was good to go and my filling was secure. When I followed up with usual dentist she noticed the composite he used to replace the filling was wearing away very quickly, she asked I contact the office to find out what type of composite was used. I left 3 voicemails with Dr. Whittingham's office and never received a reply. My dentist decided it best to replace the filling with a permanent composite. When she removed the filling she discovered that the filling had not been properly cleaned and some of the original composite was still on the tooth. This level of care/service and the rudeness of his staff was unacceptable. I left a message again with his office to discuss, I was very unhappy to find he did on properly clean my filling before replacing. No one ever returned my calls."
